Healing doesn't mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.
Carolyn Harrington The Art of Healing
In life, many traumatic events can occur that create emotional or physical pain. Trauma comes in many shapes and forms - an accident, the loss of a loved one, the ending of a relationship, loss of a job, receiving frightening news, combat-related incidents…
Normally our bodies can heal on their own when allowed to process events in their entirety. Sometimes, however, our experiences are too much to handle, and so the body blocks the incident and represses it. These repressed incidents, even when they are not conscious, continue to have negative impacts on us. Using various techniques, including Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR), Thematic TIR, and Unblocking, we can help you process traumatic events so you can reduce or eliminate their impact on your life.
